The Vintage 1930s Neon Revolving AD Advertising Clock by Electric AD Clock Company is a rare collectible piece from the United States. This Brown sign clock features a unique design that rotates to display different advertisements, making it a standout piece for collectors of vintage advertising memorabilia. The Electric AD Clock Company was sometimes called Action AD Clock Company. This clock is labeled No. 11211 from the company as per it’s metal tag. It has a dual panel design.. The left panel houses a square clock face made of glass and powered by a telechron motor. The right panel contains a motorized revolving drum, or flipper mechanism, that displays various local businesses advertisements in sequence. A single neon tube runs behind the clock face and the advertising window. This particular clock advertises for a drycleaner business, however panels are interchangeable as to what is being advertised, such as automobilia and vintage industrial artifacts. Current condition of the item: the square clock face motor works, however the clock itself will need repair, as well as the neon lighting. I have only tested by plugging in the unit. The revolving drum or flipper mechanism works as it should. This is a hard to find, RARE item. With its distinctive action and historical significance from the 1930s, this clock is sure to be a conversation starter and a cherished addition to any collection.
