Outstanding and rare example of a commercial size and quality Marquee neon letter sign. This piece is a giant “R” in fantastic almost unused condition and was made in the early 1950s. This tin and neon working light up sign was well made and functioned well in a commercial or industrial environment. A company called “Zeon electrical products”. Truly fine example of a rare and high quality design. Comes with metal bracket for hanging. Original glass and textured plastic cover. Each of these letters are wired independently and plugs directly into any plug. Note: At the time of listing, We carry the matching following letters from the same lot: S (x1) O(x2), F, R, U, E. We are unsure how long these will be available so act fast if you’d like multiple. Condition report: Near mint condition. No major damage to note to the metal. Neon light works as intended. Genuine vintage neon sign from 1970s/1980s. Number 16 made of blue neon tube, framed in acrylic case with clear acrylic in front and white acrylic on the back side. Size: circa 42 x 42 x 18.5 cm. Neon sign has been rewired and it’s in fully working order. Acrylic parts have age and use related traces of tear and wear and typical old patina (as seen on detailed photos), overall condition is very good. Neon sign is equipped with European 2-pin power plug, and has been tested only on a European network. Excellent mint sheet metal red neon sign with Lightbox front. Quite well sized at approx 70cm wide. Looks to have been part of the decor in a high end garage or supplies shop. Came from King’s Road area of Chelsea, London. Electronics are as new, original from the 1960s but checked over for security and safety by an electrician. No dents in metal but some of the original brown paint on the back has chipped off as pictured. Great original patina on the paint around the edge of the bezel. Made in London by Neoflo Signs ltd, Putney Bridge Road. Original sticker to rear. It stands on three legs with atomic space age mid century ball style feet, intact. Otherwise can be hung in a window or from a ceiling with the hangers on top. Iconic piece of British advertising with a hint of Americana. Excellent mint sheet metal red neon sign with Lightbox front. Quite well sized at approx 70cm wide. Looks to have been part of the decor in a high end garage or supplies shop. Came from King’s Road area of Chelsea, London. Electronics are as new, original from the 1960s but checked over for security and safety by an electrician. No dents in metal but some of the original brown paint on the back has chipped off as pictured. Great original patina on the paint around the edge of the bezel. Made in London by Neoflo Signs ltd, Putney Bridge Road. Original sticker to rear. It stands on three legs with atomic space age mid century ball style feet, intact.
