For your consideration a vintage 1940’s sign. The sign is made of metal and has a neon lighted glass face with a clock movement spinner wheel behind the glass face. The neon lights up and the spinner wheel turns properly. There is some finish loss on the glass face. I replaced the power cord to test it as the old one was bad. It will need to be rewired inside. I have included a photo of the wiring inside the transformer body. It measures 18 1/4″ in width by 18 1/4″ in height. Made by Waynes Neon of Ohio during the early 90s. They supplied restorers with needed parts and made fantasy clocks from scratch. Unfortunately it appears Wayne passed away a while ago, but the website is still up although non-functional. The neon works, the “spinner” works, and the clock keeps time! The electrical cord is pristine! There are no scratches to the glass front; there are a few small wear areas to the back. There is an area of some small pitting to the surface of the metal surrounding the clock. The Texaco logo used on this clock is the logo the Company used from 1936 to 1963. The movement of the spinning wheel inside is mesmerizing! Visit You Tube and search for spinning neon clocks to see an example. The clock measures a 20″ in diameter and is about 5″ deep. Up for your consideration is a scarce hard to find vintage Cheeburger Cheeburger neon advertising spinner clock. Clock is from an original Cheeburger Cheeburger which is a 1950s style restaurant chain which started in the 80s. This is an older clock probably from the early 1990s. The neon works well. The clock is not currently running and the spinning does not currently work. Both shouldnt be hard to fix. Clock measures approximately 20 in diameter. This 1940s sign is internally lit with neon and features a rotating wheel with the slogans for Berghoff Beer Tried Berghoff Lately? – A Real Honest Brew Since 1887 that is run by a clock motor. The sign has had the wood base repainted black and the outside metal ring has been repainted with black wrinkle finish paint. Reverse glass face on the outside had new black paint applied exactly like the original. The sign has an outer glass with a plastic advertisement sandwiched between it and another piece of glass. The plastic ad has a lighter colored line that goes from top to bottom between the Fs of the word Berghoff as seen in the picture. This is not a big deal but I want to point it out as it can be seen when it is not plugged in and lit up. Sign lights and runs very smoothly. This is an extremely rare sign that never comes up for sale so dont miss your chance. MEASUREMENTS (APPROXIMATELY): 10 Inches Wide x 10 7/8 Inches Tall x 3 1/2 Inches Deep.
