This is a one of a kind original metal lighted recording sign from on old broadcast studio. If this sign could only tell tales! When the lights came on the reel to reel tape machines were spinning and someone was singing, the band was playing, or the announcer was giving the call sign, “stay tuned for station identification”. This one brings back the memories, and is authentic. It is all original and shows signs of wear and tear (which makes it all the better). And it does work as you can see in the photos. This is easily replaceable at any hardware or home store for a few dollars. I WILL include the original power cable that runs through the hanging pipe, and includes an Edison 110v 3 prong plug. Hi, for sale is a rare, unopened New Old Stock vintage Fidelipac Recording Studio ON AIR model 340 Light / Sign. This light is very special and came from the University of Texas at Austin surplus warehouse, which includes surplus and inventory from recently closed properties. Sadly, this includes the recently closed original home of Austin City Limits, Studio 6A in the CMB building of what is now the Moody College of Communication. This is a legendary, historic venue that is recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and served as the longtime original home to the legendary PBS series. This light is 100% unopened and original new condition. This is a cool relic and would look great for many functional or just generally awesome display purposes.
