This sign is apart of a much larger sign. The neon works and has a can. Can is open in the back. Porcelain has minor touch ups around the end of the neon. I was told by the original owner who I bought this from that the neon is original to the sign. However I believe there is a possibility that one part of the Packard has been drilled to allow the word Packard to be neon. However the person who owned this before me states it was likely original to the sign. The sign is roughly 3′ long 2′ tall. If you need exact sizes please ask. This clock came from that group of stuff. Neon Clock Sales Company started business in 1945. I’m not sure when they ceased operation. Most of the parts that I bought were wrapped in newspapers from the late 80’s so they made it at least that long. I assume this clock is from that time frame. This one advertises Packard Approved Service and is marked Neon Clock Sales Company Chicago, IL around the bottom of the face. The clock is as close to perfect as you are likely to find. Face has no visible scratches or flaws. The can is made of heavy steel the and has a beautiful black wrinkle finish paint job which was common on neon clocks from the 40’s and 50’s. All of these clocks and parts were NOS and never used. They do have a little shelf wear or some very light scuffs but they are very nice for their age! This clock does have a new neon tube, a new cord, and a new switch, it should provide many years of trouble free service. Any questions just ask. I’ll reply ASAP. 14.5 inches in diameter with an 11 inch outer glass and is approx. 6.5 inches deep. (from the wall to the front of the clock) Weighs a hefty 12 lbs.
