This is a fun star sheet metal blinking sign. The sign is two sided and alternates from red to white or clear when blinking. The star is from the mid 1900’s and is in sturdy condition. It mounts from the bottom pointing up, could mount the other direction if you so desire. These types of advertising devices were used to draw attention to another sign and were frequently mounted on top of another sign. Fun item in as found working condition. The star is 33″ tall x 18″ wide x 10 1/4 deep. We checked all the electronics and it operates nicely. This unit is in very good cosmetic / physical condition and operates as it should. When it was discovered, it was dirty, the “black out” paint had chipped off the bulbs. And the bands that hold the light to the frame where wire wrapped around the bulbs. It was cleaned up, repainted so it looks right when lit and the bands were replaced. With transparent Dacron ones.
